Individuals and organizations that wish to conduct a special event or special use at a Pinellas County Park must submit a special event/use permit application. Applications must be submitted a minimum of (30) calendar days in advance of the event. Applications will be reviewed and if approved, the event organizer will be notified of any requirements and fees necessary for the event to take place. Permit Applications will not be approved until all the required information is submitted and payment made.

    If event attendance is more than 300 persons or event involves a race, walk, parade, etc., please send a site map. Include locations of barricades, vendors, tents, race/parade routes, and park roads requested for closure. Site map for smaller events, security, traffic, or clean up plans may also be requested.

    Park Fees

    WEDDINGS

    No Equipment/Sand Only

    $107.50 per day, plus tax (1-50 attendance)

    $165 per day, plus tax (51 and over attendance)

    Equipment (i.e. Chairs, Archways, Flowers, Musicians, etc.)

    $150 per day, plus tax + Wedding Surcharge:

    2-50 guests - $150

    51-100 guests - $200

    101 - 150 guests - $250

    151 - 200 guests - $300

    Guests exceeding 201 - $400

    Individuals and organizations that wish to conduct a special event or special use at a Pinellas County Park must submit a Special Event/Use Permit Application.Applications must be submitted a minimum of 30 working days in advance of the event with an anticipated attendance of 1,000 or less; Events with anticipated attendance of more than 1,000 must be submitted a minimum of 30 calendar days in advance. Event/Use applications will be reviewed and if approved, the event organizer will be notified of any requirements and applicable fees necessary for the event to take place. If event organizer requires the use of a shelter, shelter reservation fees will apply.

    Please keep in mind that our wedding packages are a guideline only. We will customize menus to the best of our ability to meet your needs.

    Terms of Agreement

    As the applicant, I hereby accept and understand the responsibility to oversee all contractors, vendors or parties affiliated with the event and to insure compliance with all policies, rules and regulations, and guidelines of Pinellas County Parks and Recreation Department and the regulations listed below. I understand that any violations may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation and/or revocation of the permit. I understand that the permit is non-transferable and non-refundable.

    • A completed special event application must be submitted a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the event.
    • A certificate of insurance for the event and all vendors must be submitted thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the event and should name the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners as additional insured.
    • No money can be collected for fundraising on park property.
    • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on park property.
    • Commercial banners, displays, etc. are prohibited on park property.
    • Cash-valued merchandise may not be awarded or sold to participants on park grounds.
    • The applicant is responsible for the collection and proper disposal of all trash generated during the event.
    • The volume level from public address or sound systems must remain at an acceptable level and should not be audible from a distance of more than 50 feet.
    • No permanent paint or material may be used to mark the road or any park property including directional signs.
    • All non-essential production and personal vehicles must be parked in the public parking areas.
    • Uniformed law enforcement may be required to provide traffic and crowd control.
    • Permit Applications will not be approved until all the required information is submitted and payment made.

    We cannot guarantee locations, the location selected may be modified to accommodate changes in event size, duration, activities and amenities or to minimize scheduling conflicts. There are no guarantee of privacy at your assigned location. Sand Key Beach is open to the public and public event organizers who utilize the location as well.

    • All persons must vacate Sand Key Park before park closes
    • After hours fee of $100.00 may be charged
