4 Wedding Planning Tasks a Bride should Delegate

As a soon-to-be Mrs., you have a good idea of how many tasks go into planning a wedding. Now, the question is how to get them all done before the big day.

Some duties are best left up to you and your groom, but delegating a few will give you time to breathe and — most importantly — bask in some of the most exciting days of your lives.

Here, we’ll clue you in on some to-dos that can easily be assigned to bridesmaids, family members and friends to take some of the pressure off of you.

Task #1: Research

It probably didn’t take long after your special someone popped the question for you to go into planning mode. Curating Pinterest boards, flipping through bridal magazines and running hundreds of Google searches can take time. Recruiting friends and family to brainstorm and do some of the research about venues, florists, and caterers can be a huge help. Be sure the people you enlist know you and your tastes well.

Task #2: Communicating with vendors

A wedding is like a puzzle: All the pieces have to fit together. Each piece will usually come with a new vendor or company. Assigning a bridesmaid to deal with each one will take a lot of pressure off of you and free up time to work on other wedding duties. Be sure to equip your helper with the questions you want asked.

Task #3: Setup and decor

Decorative flair is what makes wedding ceremonies unique and memorable. It’s a chance for personalization; your very own stamp of originality. Once you’ve decided how you’d like to decorate, ask your creative friends to help with crafting and placing centerpieces, table cards and more. Be sure to choose friends who have an attention to detail and an eye for design.

Task #4: Clean up

Once the party is over and the newlyweds have taken off, clean-up is just beginning for bridesmaids and family. Depending on the venue, centerpieces, floral arrangements and other decorations may need to be carefully packed away or parceled out to the wedding party or family. Be sure your instructions are known.

Delegation is the key to being a happy bride. Tasks can be simplified by choosing a professional and reputable company that has years of experience executing flawless celebrations and can take care of all of the details for you.
